Sacred Valley of the Incas



This tour is approximately starts at 08:00 hrs. and ends at 19:00 hrs., go through your hotel, to have a guided tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, over Vilcanota river, for a panoramic view of the Inca Citadel of Pisac and visit to the typical Pisac Indian market, where we will have the opportunity to learn about the customs of its inhabitants and bargain prices with sellers, then we go to the town of Urubamba, traveling along the Vilcanota river, returning to Cusco from 18:30 to 18: 40 hrs.

Pisac archaeological complex

The archaeological complex of Pisac, is located at the top of a mountain from where it dominates much of the Sacred Valley. This wonderful place is formed by groups of platforms and architectural structures scattered on the slopes and at the top of the mountain, Pisac is one of the most beautiful valley centers containing monuments as he combines the landscape with the finish of its buildings.

Pisac market

Located 30 km from the city of Cusco, Pisac main square is home to this market, colourful and cheerful place, displaying most famous handicrafts Cuzco by Andean hands, between handicrafts, Excel textile parts, ponchos bags, etc, and ceramic handicrafts, which are reproductions of pieces Inca archaeologies, as the queros (ceremonial vessels), necklaces, etc. This fair attended by traders and craftsmen indigenous people of many villages, dressed in their traditional costumes.


Lunch at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In the afternoon we visited the fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to monitor the entrance to this part of the Valley and protect it from possible invasions of the inhabitants of the jungle. We will have the opportunity to walk along the streets of the village and thus having a clear idea of how was this military, religious and cultural centre during the Inca Empire.


On the way back to Cusco we will visit the picturesque village of Chinchero, where the remains of the Royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui. Admire the well-preserved Inca wall in the main square and visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescoes in the portico, built on the foundations of an Inca construction. Transfer to the hotel in Cusco for the night
